Free Amigurumi Bat crochet pattern

Today I will share with everyone the Amigurumi Bat crochet pattern, I collected this crochet pattern from @CuteLoopsByMegan.

Materials

– 4 ply acrylic yarn in dark gray

– Black and white felt, wool, or yarn for mouth/fangs

– Felting needle (if using felting wool for mouth)

– Glue or thread (if using regular felt for mouth)

– 5 mm (H-8) crochet hook

– Safety eyes (10 mm)
– Yarn needle

– Scissors

– Stuffing

– Stitch marker (optional)

– Pins (optional)

Abbreviations

ch = chain

sc = single crochet

st/sts = stitch/stitches

mc = magic circle

inc = increase (2 sc in 1 st)

dec = invisible decrease (single crochet the front loop of next 2 stitches together)

ss = slip stitch

FO= fasten off

 

Head

Row 1: 6 sc in mc [6]

Row 2: (inc)*6 [12]

Row 3: (inc, sc)*6 [18]

Row 4: (inc, 2 sc)*6 [24]

Row 5: (inc, 3 sc)*6 [30]

Rows 6-9 (4 rows): (sc) [30]

Row 10: (dec, 3 sc)*6 [24]

Row 11: (dec, 2 sc)*6 [18]

Attach safety eyes between rows 9 and 10, with about 6 sts in between each eye

Row 11: (dec, 1 sc)*6 [12]

Stuff, cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing, ss in first stitch of next row, FO

 

Body

Row 1: 6 sc in mc [6]

Row 2: (inc)*6 [12]

Row 3: (inc, sc)*6 [18]

Wings (Make 2)

Row 1: ch 9

Row 2: turn. sc in second ch from hook. sc til end [8]

Row 3: turn. sc in next 6 sts, leaving 2 sts [6]

Row 4: turn. sc [6]

Row 5: turn. sc in next 4 sts, leaving 2 sts [4]

Row 6: turn. sc [4]

Cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing, ss in first stitch of next row, FO

 

Ears (Make 2)

Row 1: 6 sc in mc [6]

Row 2: turn. sc in next 5 sts [5]

Cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing, FO.

This is the top of the ear.

Weave yarn in the edge so the tail is at the opposite end.

 

Feet (Make 2)

Row 1: ch 7. ss in first ch, making a loop Cut yarn leaving long tail for sewing, FO

Attach all limbs using a whip stitch. Add mouth and fangs by either felting them on, sewing them on with a yarn, or gluing/sewing on cut out felt pieces.
