Materials Needed
– Worsted weight yarn in white, black (or brown), and pink
– 3mm crochet hook
– Safety eyes (8mm)
– Fiberfill stuffing
– Yarn needle, scissors and stitch markers
Abbreviations
MR – magic ring
Rnd (R) – round
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec – decrease (2 sc together)
st/sts – stitch/stitches
Head & Body (worked as one piece)
Rnd 1: Magic ring, 6 sc. always mark the first stitch.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st (Increase) around (12)
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) repeat around (18)
*use few stiches in black or brown to make the spots*
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat around (24)
Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) repeat around (30)
Rnd 6-11: SC all around (30)
*Attach the eyes between 7th and 8th row, 5 to 6 stitches apart*
Rnd 12: (3 sc, dec) repeat around (24)
Rnd 13: (2 sc, dec) repeat around (18)
Rnd 14: (1 sc, dec) repeat around (12)
Start stuffing the head a little.
Rnd 15: (1 sc, inc) repeat around in the front loop only (18)
*Use black or brown for few stiches each round to make spots
Rnd 16: (2 sc, inc) repeat around (24)
*Stuff the head tightly*
Rnd 17: (7 sc, inc) repeat around (27)
Rnd 18-19: SC all around (27)
Rnd 20: (7 sc, dec) in the back loop only, repeat around (24)
Rnd 21: (2 sc, dec) repeat around (18)
Rnd 22: (1 sc, dec) repeat around (12)
*Stuff the body*
Cut the yarn with long tail for sewing later, close the opening, weave in the ends.
Ears (make 2)
With black or brown:
Rnd 1: Make 5 chains
Rnd 2: 1 slip stitch into the 2nd chain from the hook, chain 1, 2 dc into the next 2 chains, 1 sc into the last chain.
*Cut the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing later*
The legs (make 1 black, 1 white)
With dark brown:
Rnd 1: Magic ring, 6 sc
Rnd 2: 1 sc, 1 inc (9)
Rnd 3: Crochet 9 sc in the back loop only
Rnd 4: Crochet 9 sc
*Change the color to white
Rnd 5: 1 sc, 1 dec (6)
Rnd 6: Sc all around (6)
The Arms (make 2)
With dark brown:
Rnd 1: Magic ring, 6 sc
Rnd 2: 1 sc, 1 inc (9)
Rnd 3: 1 sc all around (9)
Change the color to white
Rnd 4: 1 sc, 1 dec (6)
Rnd 5: Crochet 6 sc all around (6)

The Horns (make 2)
With light brown:
Rnd 1: Magic ring, 4 sc
Rnd 2: 4 sc all around
Rnd 3: 1 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc (5)

The Muzzle (in light pink)
Rnd 1: Crochet 5 chains
Rnd 2: 2 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook, 1 sc each in next 3 stitches, 3 sc all in the next stitch, 1 sc each in next 3 stitches on the other side of the chain
Rnd 3: 2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc each in next 3 stitches, 2 sc in next 2 stitches, 1 sc each in next 3 stitches, 2 sc into the next one
Rnd 4: 1 sc all around
*Cut the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing later*
The Tail
Rnd 1: Chain 6
Rnd 2: 1 sc into the 2nd chain from the hook
Rnd 3: 1 slip stitch into the each chain till the end

Legs:
Stitch the first legs onto the body directly over the edge that is created by the BLO round.
Stitch the black onto the black spot.
Stitch another one other side around 6 to 7 stitches apart.
Arms: Sew the arm on the both side of the body, 1 stitch row under the neck and a little behind the legs.
Muzzle: Sew the muzzle at the center below the eyes, add just one stitch with black yarn on the both side on the muzzle to represent the nostrils.
Also add few pieces of green yarn to represent grass in the mouth.
Horns: Sew the horn at the top of the head, 2 stitch rows on the both side from the top row.
Ears: Sew the horns one stitch row below the horns on the both side. If you made black spot on one side of the head sew one black ear on that side
Tail: Sew the tail on the bottom at the center of the body over the stitch edge made by the BLO round.
Swing: (Brown or Black yarn)
Rnd 1: Chain 9
Rnd 2: 1 sc into the 2nd chain from the hook (mark the first stitch with a stitch marker. 1 sc into the next stitch 6 more times.
Rnd 3:3 sc into the last chain
Rnd 4: Work on the other side of the chain. 1 sc into the next 7 chains. Slip stitch onto the first stitch.
Rnd 5: Chain one, 1 sc into next 7 stitch
Rnd 6: Sc increase for next 3 stitch
Rnd 7: 1 sc in next 7 stitches
Rnd 8: 2 sc into the next stitch, slip stitch into the first stitch.
Rnd 9: Chain 120 and attach on the other side of the piece.
I generally attach the cow on the swing with hot glue but you can also stitch them too.
