Free Backpack pattern

A cute little Backpack that can be worn for fun, for storing things, or as a gift for anyone. I just finished a super cute wool backpack and wanted to share free Backpack pattern with everyone. The pattern is not too complicated, I found it quite easy. And now let’s get started.

Abbreviations

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)

blo – back loop only

BODY

1. 9ch, hook into the 2nd foot from the needle tip: 7sc, 5sc common foot, hook into the opposite side: 6sc, 4sc common foot (22)

2. inc, 6sc, 5inc, 6sc, 4inc (32)

3. inc, 7sc, (inc, sc)*5, 6sc, (inc, sc)*5 (42)

4. inc, 8sc, (inc, 2sc)*5, 6inc, (inc, 2sc)*5 (52)

5. BLO 52sc

6-26. 52sc

If you want to increase or decrease the bag height, you can hook more or less rows as you like

BAG LID

1. 7ch, hook into the 2nd foot from the needle tip: 5sc, hook into the last stitch (2sc, 1ch, 2sc), 5sc, 1ch, turn back

2. 6sc, inc, 1ch, inc, 6sc, 1ch, turn back

3. 7sc, inc, 1ch, inc, 7sc, 1ch, turn back

4. 8sc, inc, 1ch, inc, 8sc, 1ch, turn back

5. 9sc, inc, 1ch, inc, 9sc, 1ch, turn back

6. 10sc, inc, 1ch, inc, 10sc, 1ch, turn back
