Free no sew fruit stegos crochet pattern
Hello everyone, today I will share with you this free no sew fruit stegos crochet pattern. I collected this crochet pattern from @nooks_hooks.
ABBREVIATIONS
MR – magic ring
sc – single crochet
inc – increase
dec – decrease
dc – double crochet
bob – bobble stitch
VARIATIONS
All three patterns follow the same base pattern with different colors.
The colors are indicated in the next slide, then the base pattern is explained.
After that the fruit-specific add-ons are explained.
MATERIALS I USED
– Hook (6mm)
– Yarn (chenille yarn)
– Stuffing 8 mm eyes
– Yarn needle to weave in the ends
– Stitch markers
COLOR CHANGES
A black, non-bold letter will indicate the primary color and a red, bold letter will indicate the secondary color.
The color varations are as follows:
DRAGONFRUIT
Primary: bright dark pink
Secondary: white
WATERMELON
Primary: green
Secondary: pink
ORANGE
Primary: dark orange
Secondary: light orange
Color changes are applied the stitch before the new color!
MISALIGNMENT
Due to tension/yarn/hook size, your creation can start to misalign a bit. If this is the case, you are welcome to add/remove a stitch, but in my case, just giving the finished creation a good twist did the trick!

Fasten off
SPIKES
DRAGONFRUIT: green
WATERMELON: dark green
ORANGE: green
Do this 4 times, for each of the marked stitches.
With the yarn in the color of your spikes on your hook: Insert your hook horizontally in the marked stitch.
In this marked stitch, crochet the following (all scs and dcs are done in the same marked stitch!): sc, dc, chain 2, dc, sc
Fasten off and move on to the next spike.
Weave in all ends.
SURFACE CROCHET BORDER DRAGONFRUIT: bright pink
WATERMELON: white
ORANGE: white
Surface crochet a border around the color change as follows: with the yarn on your hook, insert your hook somewhere around the border, with your hook pointing from the center of the belly outwards.
Sc all around the border, making sure your hook is always pointing from belly outwards.
There will be one paw with no secondary color in front of it, make sure to still go around this paw!
When you reach your first SC again, slip stitch into it and fasten off.
FRUIT-SPECIFIC ADD-ONS
WATERMELON
Add some black seeds around the middle of the stego belly
DRAGONFRUIT
Add some black seeds close to the border of the fruit stego.
ORANGE
Embroider 3 white lines on each side of the stego to represent the orange pieces
