Halloween Pumpkin crochet pattern

Abbreviations:

MR – magic ring

st/sts – stitch/stitches

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

hdc – half double crochet

slst – slip stitch

BLO – back loop only

Pumpkin. With orange yarn (optional)

Ch14. Crochet in rows.

Row 1 start in second ch from hook: 2slst, 9hdc, 2slst, ch1, turn [13]

Crochet rows 2-18 in blo.

Row 2-18 (17 rows) skip ch1, 2slst, 9hdc, 2slst, ch1, turn [13]

Do not fasten off. Fold your crochetwork with the edges against each other, forming a ring.

Row 19 Join the edges: 13slst inserting your hook in the back loops of the last row and in the stitch of the starting chain.

Cut the yarn, leave a long end for tightening the pumpkin.

Turn the pumpkin inside out. Stuff the pumpkin with stuffing material.

Sew the stitches marked on picture 1 on both sides of the pumpkin with the end of orange yarn several times in circle, each time tightening the hole a little more until you tighten it to close.

Peduncle. With sand yarn (optional)

Rnd 1: 5sc in a magic ring [5]

Rnd 2-3: sc in all 5 st [5]

Rnd 4: 5inc [10]

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Place and sew the peduncle on the tightened hole.

Change the number of rows and the number of stitches in these, to make the pumpkin in different shapes and sizes.
