Assembly

Sew head to body.

Sew ears and horn to head.

Sew mane to head, using the colored yarn tails for sewing each part of the mane (pink tail to pink mane section, etc).

Open out the first (pink) curlicue and lay it flat, so that it looks like a forelock.

Position it directly behind the horn. When pinning the mane down to sew it, turn the curlicues so that the transition from one color to the next is hidden at the bottom of the mane (against the horse’s head).

Close up the last curlicue (blue) so that it sits up against the head and rests on top of the back.

Sew legs to body, making sure to have the front legs curve toward the back and the back legs curve to the front.

Also helpful to stretch out the legs a bit to make them a bit longer before sewing them on.

Also, sew the top of the leg as an oval, turned toward the body rather than flat against the body.

By not stuffing the legs, they are more posable after completion.

To help draw the tail together at the top, take a stitch or two to connect the top of one tail piece to its matching colored tail piece (gold to gold, etc), using the long tails left from making the tails.

Then weave in the ends into the tail pieces and cut. Sew the connected tail to the body using the white yarn that tied the tail pieces together. Weave in end.
