LET’S START
Use yellow yarn
1. 8 sc in MR (8)
2. 8 inc (16)
3. (sc, inc) X 8 (24)
4. (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
5-7. 30 sc (30) three rounds total
8.9 sc, (sc, dec) X 4,9 sc (26)
9. 9 sc, 4 dec, 9 sc (22)
Fold the body and sl st across the stitches on each side 5 times until there are 9 remaining unworked stitches
You’ll be inserting your hook across both sets of stitches on each side, as shown above
10. 9 FLO inc (18)
11-13. 20 sc (20) three rounds total
Insert safety eyes between rounds 12-13, 6 sts apart
Make a beak by crocheting 5 sc in a magic ring in orange yarn, but don’t fully tighten the ring closed.
Leave it partially open so that the beak has a semicircle appearance. Attach the beak between the eyes.
Stuff the body firmly and continue to add stuffing as needed in the remaining rounds
14. (3 sc, dec) X 8 (16)
15. 8 dec (8)
FO, add more stuffing if necessary and sew the top of the head closed
