Sheep crochet pattern

Materials
– Cotton Yarn in white, cream, pink, and dark grey
– Super Bulky Yarn in White
– Sewing Threads in black
– Crochet hook sizes 2.5 mm and 4.5 mm
– Tapestry Needle
– Polyfiber Filling
– Stitch Markers (used at the beginning of each Round) Sewing Pins (optional)
Abbreviations
MR – Magic Ring
Rnd – Round

ch – chain
sc – single crochet
slst – slip stitch
inc – increase
dec – decrease
dc – double crochet
(…) ——-the total number of stitches in the current round/row
FLO – front loops only
BLO- back loops only
Head
Start with white color fingering yarn and 2.5 mm crochet hook
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a MR (6)
Rnd 2: BLO inc around (12)
Rnd 3: BLO [sc, inc] x 6 (18)
Rnd 4: BLO [2 sc, inc] x6 (24)
Rnd 5: BLO [3 sc, inc] x6 (30)
Rnd 6: BLO [4 sc, inc] x6 (36)
Rnd 7: BLO [5 sc, inc] x 6 (42)
Rnd 8: BLO [6 sc, inc] x6 (48)
Rnd 9: BLO sc around (48)
Change to cream color yarn. Leave the previous yarn on the right side of your work. We will use it later.
Rnd 10: BLO sc around (48)
Rnd 11-14: sc around (4 rnds) (48)
Rnd 15: [7 sc, inc] x 6 (54)
Rnd 16-18: sc around (3 rnds) (54)

Stuff firmly. Continue stuffing as you go.

Finish stuffing firmly. Cut the yarn leaving a long tail. With your tapestry needle, weave in the yarn through all of the FLO from the last round and pull tightly to close up your work. Hide yarn inside your work.
Ears
Weave in the yarn through the first st of Rnd 7. Sew the ears on both sides of the head in Rnd 10 underneath a curl. The distance between each ear is 8 curls.
Eyes/nose
Use black embroidery thread
Make to “U” over 4 sts for each eye. The eyes are located in Rnds 12-13 of the head with 4 sc apart.
For the nose, embroider a “T” in the middle of the face in Rnds 14-15.
Blushes (make 2)
Use pink color yarn and 2.5 mm crochet hook
Rnd 1: 5 sc in MR (5)
Rnd 2: inc around (10)
Make a slst in the next st. Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the blushes in Rnd 14-17 of the head with 1 sc apart from the eye.
Mane
Hold the head with the front loops facing away from you. Pick up the white yarn from Rnd 9. To make the mane, we are going to crochet little curls around the front loops of the head.
Rnd 1: [ch 2, 2dc, slst] x 16 (16 curls)
Rnd 2: slst [ch 2, 2dc, slst] x 15 (15 curls)
Rnd 3: [ch 2, 2dc, slst] x 14 (14 curls)

Rnd 5: [ch 2, 2dc, slst] x 9 (9 curls)
Rnd 6: slst [ch 2, 2dc, slst] x 8 (8 curls)
Rnd 7: [ch 2, 2dc, slst] x6 (6 curls)
Rnd 8: slst [ch 2, 2dc, slst] x6 (6 curls)
Make a slst in the next st and cut the yarn leaving a long tail. Hide yarn inside your work.
Ears (make 2)
Use cream color yarn and 2.5 mm crochet hook
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Rnd 2: [sc, inc] x 3 (9)
Rnd 3: [2 sc, inc] x 3 (12)
Rnd 4-5: sc around (2 rnds) (12)
Rnd 6: [2 sc, dec] x 3 (9)
Flatten the ear and work through both sides of the ear.
Rnd 7: 4 sc (4)
Do not stuff. Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.
