I love cute snails, I am so lucky that I have the opportunity to collect this cute crochet pattern, today I will make it, let’s make this snail crochet pattern. This crochet pattern I collected from @les.mailles.du.rocher.
Materials
– Cotton yarn (ricorumi)
– Crochet hook : 2,5 mm
– Yarn needle
– Fiberfill for stuffing
– Stitch marker
– Scissors
Abbreviations
MR : magic ring / cercle magique
Rnd : round / tour
ch: chain / chainette
sl st : slip stitch / maille coulée
sc : single crochet / maille serrée
dc : double crochet / bride
inc : increase / augmentation
dec : decrease / diminution
()* : repeat till the end of round / répéter jusqu’à la fin du tour
[] : total number of stitches in the round / nombre total de mailles du tour
Bottom part
Start with the bottom part.
Make a Ch 24. Crochet around the Ch.
Rnd 1 : 22 sc, 3 sc in last ch, 21 sc, inc [48]
Rnd 2: inc, 21 sc, 3 inc, 21 sc, 2 inc [54]
Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc, 21 sc (1 sc, inc)x 3, 21 sc, (1 sc, inc) x 2[60]
Fasten off.
Head & body
Make a Ch 7 and crochet around the chain, starting in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 1 : 5 sc, 3 sc in last ch, 4 sc, inc [14]
Rnd 2 : inc, 4 sc, 3 inc, 4 sc, 2 inc [20]
Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc, 4 sc, (1 sc, inc) x 3, 4 sc, (1 sc, inc)x 2 [26]
Rnd 4-18 : 26 sc [26]
Ch 13 (new beginning of the round, place the stitch marker on next stitch)
Rnd 19 : crochet 12 sc along the ch, 1 sc where the ch fondation starts, 26 sc, then on the other side of the ch : 11 sc, 1 inc [52]
Rnd 20 : (inc, 4 sc)x 2, 32 sc, (4 sc, inc)x 2 [56]
Rnd 21 : (inc, 6 sc)x 2, 28 sc, (6 sc, inc)x2 [60]
Rnd 22 : 60 sc [60]
Stuff.
Rnd 23 : take the bottom part and crochet through both sides 60 sc [60]
Before closing the body, continue stuffing lightly (the bottom should remain flat)
Rnd 24 : (inc)* [120]
Fasten off.
Shell
Stuff lightly as you go along your work.
Rnd 1 : MR, 6 sc [6]
Rnd 2: (inc)* [12]
Rnd 3 : (3 sc, inc)* [15]
Rnd 4-10 : 15 sc [15]
Rnd 11 : (4 sc, inc)* [18]
Rnd 12-47 : 18 sc [18]
Rnd 48 : 9 sc, 9 dc [18]
Rnd 49 : 9 sc, 9 dc [18] Continue with 2 sc, 1 sl st.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to the body. Scroll the shell tightly (glue or sew as you wrap).
Eyes (x 2)
Ch 6 :inc, 4 sl st. Fasten oft.
Blush (x 2)
In a MR, crochet 6 sc. 1 sl st. Fasten off.
