Free Christmas tree crochet pattern

The Christmas tree, a traditional symbol of the holiday season, is often decorated at Christmas. It symbolizes hope and love during the holiday season. Today join me in making a Christmas tree with instructions from the Christmas tree free pattern.

Materials

The yarn used for the pattern is Rainbow cotton 8/4:

– Green

– Brown

– Yellow

Yarn with glitter Colorful perls (tree or plastic) Stitch markers

Scissors

Fiberfill

Hook number 2.5

 

Abbreviations

mr – magic ring

slst – slip stitch

ch – chain

sc – single crochet in US (double crochet in UK)

inc – increase (2 single crochet in one stitch)

dec – decrease (2 signe crotchet together)

BLO – work the back loops only

FLO – work the front loops only

 

Tree

Use green color yarn.

End every row with ‘slst, ch1’ into the 1st sc of every row.

You start the new row in the same sc.

Fasten off, weave in the yarn.

Star

Use yellow color yarn.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Garland

Use yarn color of choice.

Make chain big enough to cover the tree the way you want it. Or make two different chains and place them around the tree in different directions.

Assembly

Sew the star on top of the tree.

Sew the garland onto the tree.

Use green color yarn to sew the pearls on the tree.
