Go up 8 ch, return in the third ch from the needle and do: 6 hdc. Skip 1 base stitch and sl st in the next
Go up 10 ch, return in the third ch from the needle and do: 8 mdc. Skip 1 base stitch and sl st in the next (repeat 8x)
Go up 8 ch, return in the third ch from the needle and do: 6 hdc. Skip 1 base stitch and sl st in the next
Go up 6 ch, return in the third ch from the needle and do: 4 hdc. Skip 1 stitch at the base and sl st in the next 1 sc and 1 sl st to finish glue or sew.
Embroider a lightning bolt with the thinnest red thread, below the last stitches.

Follow this sequence until you reach the size you want.
I made it with 5 yellow “squares” & 5 red “squares”.
I used the piece as a key holder
