Free Crab Amigurumi crochet pattern
Hello everyone. Today I will share with you the Crab Amigurumi crochet pattern. Hope you will like it and have relaxing moments and all the patterns here are shared by me for free, there will be no payment required. I collected this crochet pattern from @ONATURA_CROCHET.
MATERIALS
– Sport weight yarn in: coral, blue, off-white and petrol;
– B-1/2 mm crochet hook;
– Sewing needle;
– Yarn needle;
– Pins;
– Stitch markers;
Fiberfill for stuffing;
– A small piece of wire for the hook.
Size: approx. 8 cm tall when made with the indicated yarn.

TROUSERS
(START IN BLUE)
Start crocheting in a stripe pattern, alternating 2 rounds in blue yarn and 1 round in off-white yarn. The color change is indicated in italics.

BODY AND HEAD
(IN CORAL)
Go back to round 14 of trousers. Pull up a loop of coral yarn in the first leftover back loop and start crocheting the body and head.

4: (7 sc, dec) x 6 [48]
5-7: (3 rounds) sc in all 48 st [48]

Stuff the body and head firmly with fiberfill and continue stuffing as you go.

Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail.
Using a yarn needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loop of each remaining stitch and pull it tight to close. Weave in the yarn end.
PINCER 1
(IN CORAL)
Make 2 parts which are later joined together.
PART 1
1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
2: sc in all 6 st [6]
Fasten off and weave in the yarn ends.
PART 2
1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
2: (2 sc, inc) x 2 [8]
3: (3 sc, inc) x 2 [10]
Don’t fasten off. In the next round, join both parts together.
JOINING THE PINCER PARTS
4: (4 sc, inc) x 2 on part 2, (2 sc, inc) x 2 on part 1 [20]
5: : sc in all 20 st [20]
6: (3 sc, dec) x 4 [16]
7: sc in all 16 st [16]
8: (2 sc, dec) x 4 [12]
9: 6 dec [6]
Stuff the pincer 1 with fiberfill.
10-13: (4 rounds) sc in all 6 st [6]
Slst in next st.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the gap between the pincer parts closed using coral yarn.
PINCER 2
(START IN PETROL)
1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
2: inc in all 6 st [12]
3: (sc, inc) x 6 [18]
4-5: sc in all 18 st [18] Change to coral yarn, cut the petrol yarn.
6: BLO, sc in all 18 st [18]
7: sc in all 18 st [18]
8: (sc, dec) x 6 [12]
9: 6 dec [6]
Stuff the pincer 2 with fiberfill.
10-13: (4 rounds) sc in all 6 st [6]
Slst in next st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew both pincers between rounds 4 and 7 of the body and head.
EYE 1
(IN CORAL)
1:7 sc in a MR [7]
2: inc in all 7 st [14]
3-5: (3 rounds) sc in all 14 st [14] 6: 7 dec [7]
Stuff the eye 1 with fiberfill. Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail. Using a yarn needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loop of each remaining stitch and pull it tight to close.
Weave in the yarn end.
EYE 2
(START IN PETROL)
1: 7 sc in a MR [7]
2: inc in all 7 st [14]
Change to coral yarn, cut the petrol yarn.
3-5: (3 rounds) sc in all 14 st [14]
6: 7 dec [7]
Stuff the eye 2 with fiberfill.
Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail. Using a yarn needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loop of each remaining stitch and pull it tight to close. Weave in the yarn end.
EYE STALK
(Make 2, IN CORAL)
1: Leave a long starting yarn tail for sewing, 6 sc in a MR [6]
2: BLO, sc in all 6 st [6]
3-4: sc in all 6 st [6]
The eye stalk doesn’t need to be stuffed. Slst in next st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew the eyes on top of the eye stalks using a single strand of coral yarn.
Sew the front loops of round 1 of the eye stalks to the body and head, with an interspace of 5 stitches.
SHORT LEG
(Make 4, IN CORAL)
1: 6 sc in a MR [6] 2-3: sc in all 6 st [6]
The short leg doesn’t need to be stuffed. Slst in next st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
LONG LEG
(Make 2, IN CORAL)
1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
2-4: (3 rounds) sc in all 6 st [6] The long leg doesn’t need to be stuffed.
Slst in next st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Sew the legs to the sides of the body: the long leg behind the short legs, as pictured.
SUSPENDERS
(Make 2, IN BLUE)
Ch 46 (adjust the length if needed) 1: start in second ch from hook, slst in next 45 ch [45]
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the suspenders to trousers, between rounds 12 and 13.
FINISHING
TOUCHES
Embroider the eye 1 using petrol yarn.
Tie a bow on the eye 2 on the side using petrol yarn.
– Make a small hook out of wire and insert it into pincer 2.
– Embroider the mouth with a single strand of dark petrol yarn.
