Flip flop pattern

Hello everyone. Today I will share with you the flip flop pattern. Hope you will like it and have relaxing moments and all the patterns here are shared by me for free, there will be no payment required. I collected this crochet pattern from @yarnspirations.

MATERIALS FOR FLIP FLOP PATTERN:

Lily® Sugar‘n Cream® (70.9 g/2.5 oz; 109 m/120 yds)

Main Color (MC) Hot Blue (01742) 1 ball or 35 m/38 yds

Contrast A Yellow (00010) 1 ball or 17 m/19 yds

Note: 1 ball each of MC and A will make 2 Dishcloths.

Size U.S. H/8 (5 mm) Susan Bates® Silvalume® crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. Susan Bates® stitch marker.

SKILL LEVEL: EASY

ABBREVIATIONS FOR FREE FLIP FLOP PATTERN:

Approx = Approximately

Ch = Chain(s)

Rem = Remaining

Rnd = Round(s)

RS = Right side

Sc = Single crochet

Sc2tog = Draw up a loop in each of next 2 stitches. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook.

Sl st = Slip stitch

St(s) = Stitch(es)

WS = Wrong side

Yoh = Yarn over hook

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 5½” x 11″ [14 x 28 cm].

GAUGE: 13 sc and 14 rows = 4″ [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:

• When changing colors, work to last 2 loops on hook of first color.

• Draw new color through last 2 loops and proceed.

FLIP FLOP

With MC, ch 7.
1st row: (WS). 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each of next 4 ch. 2 sc in last ch. Turn. 8 sc.

2nd and 3rd rows: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each sc to last sc. 2 sc in last sc. Turn. 12 sc at end of 3rd row.

4th to 17th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.

18th row: As 2nd row. 14 sc.

19th and 20th rows: As 4th row.

21st row: As 2nd row. 16 sc.

22nd to 29th rows: As 4th row.

30th row: Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each sc to end of row, placing marker on 10th sc. Turn. 15 sts.

31st row: As 4th row.

32nd row: Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn. 14 sts.

33rd row: As 4th row.

34th and 35th rows: Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each sc to last 2 sts. Sc2tog. Turn. 10 sts at end of 35th row.

36th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to last 2 sts. Sc2tog. Join A. Turn. 9 sts rem.

Edging: 1st rnd: With A, ch 1.

Working from left to right instead of right to left as usual, work 36 reverse sc evenly down side.

Work 6 reverse sc in rem loops of foundation ch. Work 36 reverse sc evenly up side. Work 9 reverse sc evenly across top edge. Join with sl st to first st. Fasten off.

STRAP

With A, ch 23.

1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each of next 7 ch. 3 sc in next ch. 1 sc in each of next 13 ch. Turn. 24 sc.

2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 14 sc. 3 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 9 sc. Fasten off.

Sew Strap to Flip Flop as shown in picture, placing “peak” of Strap at marked st.
