Free One-Eyed Monster crochet pattern

Hello friends. Today I will share with you the One-Eyed Monster crochet pattern. I hope everyone will enjoy this crochet pattern. This crochet pattern I collected from @oley_svyazano.

Difficulty level: Easy, minimal experience in crocheting toys is enough.

This pattern does not contain crochet lessons. Knowledge of the crochet basics and the ability to read descriptions correctly are required.

List of Materials:

– Fine/4ply yarn Yarn Art Jeans 50g/160m (55% cotton, 45% acrylic)

– Colors and yarn consumption: No.60 light green (15 g),

– For the eyes and horns: No.01 – white, No.53 – black, No.76 – light blue.

– Crochet hook 1.7 mm. Stuffing material – fiberfill.

– Scissors, sewing needle, sewing pins, stitch marker.

Abbreviations:

MR – magic ring

CH – chain

SC – single crochet

HDC – half double crochet

DC – double crochet

DCINC – crochet 2 dc in one stitch INC increase (2SC in one stitch)

DEC – decrease (2SC together)

SL ST – slip stitch

BLO – back loops only

The size of the finished toy is 12 cm.

You are welcome to use any yarn, select the hook size and keep in mind that the size and general appearance of the toy will depend on the yarn weight.

 

Legs:

Make 2. Work in a spiral.

1. 6 sc into MR – 6

2. 6 inc – 12

3. (1 sc, inc)*6 – 18

4. BLO: 18 sc

5. 18 sc

Marker is at the back, decreases in the next round are in front.

6. 3 sc, 6 dec, 3 sc – 12

7. 2 sc, dec, 4 sc, dec, 2 sc – 10

8-17. 10 sc (10 rounds)

18. (3 sc, dec)*2 – 8

Stuff with fiberfill until round 8.

Fold in half and work 4 sc through both sides, fasten off, cut the yarn.

Arms:

Make 2. Work in a spiral.

1. 6 sc into a MR – 6

2. (1 sc, inc)*3-9

3-4. 9 sc

5. 2 sc, 2 dec, 3 sc – 7 (decreases are on the inner side of the arm)

6-15. 7 sc (10 rounds)

Stuff with fiberfill until round 7.

Crochet 1 extra sc, fold in half and work 3 sc through both sides, fasten off, cut the yarn.

Eye:

Work in a spiral. Cut the yarn and fasten off after color change.

Black yarn:

1. 6 sc into MR – 6

2. 6 inc – 12

Light blue yarn: 3. (1 sc, inc)*6 – 18

White yarn: 4. (2 sc, inc)*6 – 24

Green yarn: 5. 24 sc

Crochet 1 sl st + ch1 into the first stitch of the previous round, turn and work in the opposite side in back loops of the last round:

6. BLO: 2 sc, 1 hdc, (1 dc, dcinc)*3, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 13 sc – 27

Fasten off, leave a long yarn end for sewing pieces.

Make several stitches with a white thread to embroider the glare.

Horns:

Make 2. Work in a spiral.

1. 4 sc into MR – 4

2. (1 sc, inc)*2 – 6

3. (2 sc, inc)*2 – 8 4. 8 sc

5. (3 sc, inc)*2 – 10

6. 10 sc Stuff with fiberfill, fasten off, leave a long yarn end for sewing.

 

Head-Body:

 

Work in a spiral. Mark a round beginning. Join the legs in the first round, apply them to the body paws towards you and work the required number of stitches along the legs (the first) and foundation chain.

Ch 12 with green yarn, start on the second chain from the hook:

1. 4 sc with the leg, 2 sc, 4 sc with the leg, 3 sc into the last chain, on the other side of the chain: 9 sc, inc-24

2. 1 inc, 9 sc, 3 inc, 9 sc, 2 inc – 30. Marker on the right side.

3. 1 sc, inc, 9 sc, (1 sc, inc)*3, 9 sc, (1 sc, inc)*2 – 36

4. (5 sc, inc)*6 – 42

5-9. 42 sc (5 rounds)

10. Crochet only 31 sc (you may get a different quantity), place a marker in the center of the back, join the arms in the next round.

11. 8 sc on the body, 3 sc with the arm, 18 sc on the body, 3 sc with the arm, 10 sc on the body – 42

12-14. 42 sc (3 rounds)

15. (5 sc, dec)*6 – 36

16. 2 sc, dec, (4 sc, dec)*5, 2 sc – 30

17. (3 sc, dec)*6 – 24

18. 1 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec)*5, 1 sc – 18

19. (1 sc, dec)*6 – 12

20. dec – 6

Tighten the hole through front loops, fasten off, cut the yarn, hide the ends inside.

Assembly & Decoration:

1. Place the eye in the center of the head, so that the eyelid is on top, and in the process add a little fiberfill.

2. Sew on the horns.

3. Embroider the claws on the legs with a white thread.

4. If you want to make a keychain, attach a loop.
