Free Queen Lizzy II crochet pattern

I Used 3mm Needles & Double Knit Yarn. Measures 5.5” when finished.

Body

Shoe colour (dark Grey) – CO 14

Row 1 K1 cast on 1 across row (28 st)

Row 2 Purl

Row3 Knit

Row4 Purl

Change to Coat colour St St for 10 rows

K11 M1, K2 M1, K2 M1, K2 M1, K11 (32 Sts)

Row 16-30 ST ST

Change to face colour st 12 rows

Row 43 begin shaping K1 *K4 K2tog repeat from * to last st, K1

Pul even rows

Row45 K1 *K3 K2tog repeat from * to last st, K1

Row 47 K1 *K2 K2tog repeat from * to last st, K1

Row 49 K1 * K1K2tog repeat from * to last st, K1

Row 50 P2tog across row thread yarn through rem stitches and pull to close. Run a face colour yarn across 1st row of face to use later to draw in neck Sew down back using blanket stitch

Stuff Head draw in neck yarn and secure

Stuff body and sew up centre to define legs.

Coat

CO 38 sts

K 2 rows (bottom edge)

ST St for 20 rows starting with a Purl row – Knit the first 2 and last 2 stitches of every purl row for coat edges Row 21 K1, *K2 tog repeat from * to last St, K1

Row 22 Purl

CO in knit

Fasten around body and secure at the neck.

Hat

CO 34 stitches

Row 1 Purl

K1 *K5 Kfb, repeat from*to last 5 sts K3 (39 sts)

Purl

K1 *K6 Kfb repeat to last 5 sts K3 (44 Sts)

Starting with a Purl row st st for 9 rows

K1* K6 K2tog repeat to last5 K3 (39 Sts)

Purl

K1 *K5 K2tog repeat from* to last 3(34 sts)

Add markers along the next row to help when sewing brim back later (I tread a different coloured yarn through the back of the work to be pulled out later)

Purl 1 row

Starting with K row ST ST for 6 rows

K10 M1, K10 M1, K10 M1, K4 (37sts)

Purl next 2 rows (first row is top of hat)

K3 k2tog across (32 sts)

P2 P2tog across(24 sts)

Draw through and secure

Sew down the row ends from top to brim

Fold the brim under and attach the lower cast on edge to the row with the markers on so that the brim is double thickness. I added a card circle inside the top of hat to keep it flat and a bit of stuffing to hold in place.

Hair

CO 59 sts in light grey

Next K1, drop next st of needle without working to last St, K1 Cast off

Tease out the dropped stitches to make loops in the work. Sew hair to the underside of the hat leaving a gap at the front

Arms Knit 2

CO 4 in coat colour

Purl

K1fb across row (8 Sts)

Starting with purl St St for11 rows K2 tog across (4 Sts)

Change to white Yarn (Gloves) Purl

Kfb across row (8 Sts)

Purl

K2tog across row (4 Sts)

Thread through remaining 4 sts and pull tight and sew up arm leaving enough yarn to sew to coat Attach arms just blow neck on either side of the coat.

Handbag

With dark grey CO 18 sts

Purl

K2tog K5 k2tog, k2tog K5 k2tog 14sts

Purl

Knit 2 rows

Cast off 7 sts knit to end

Knit 4 rows

K2tog K 3 K2 tog

Cast off

Fold bag in half and sew down the side and along bottom

Nose

Co2sts

Kfb, Kfb (4 Sts)

Purl

K2 tog k2tog (2 Sts)

CO

Gather around edges and pull into a small ball. Sew on face with hat in place.
